Coach Shannon has been the head cheerleading coach for Franklin High for over five years. Two years ago, she introduced the Game Day division to Franklin’s competitive cheer club. Coach Shannon led her team to two consecutive National Championships at the National High School Cheerleading Championship in 2021 and 2022.

The North Carolina native attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she studied Exercise Physiology and Nutrition. She then went on to earn her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from East Carolina University.

Coach Shannon has a “squad” at home with her husband, Scott, and children Michael (19), Macklin (17), Marshall (14), and Mason (6). During the day, you can find Shannon instructing fitness classes utilizing her Physical Therapy background. By afternoon, you’ll find her as “mom” OR mentoring a team member, hitting a new pyramid, or perfecting new traditions to showcase on gameday.
