Coach Whipple attended Belmont University and received a bachelor’s degree in physical education with a minor in business administration. He has been the FHS golf coach since 2013. In addition to coaching golf, he also has 16 years of experience coaching high school baseball. In 2019, the boys team won the school’s first golf state title, Coach Whipple was recognized as the 2019 Tennessean’s middle Tennessee boys golf coach of year. He and his wife Brittany live in Franklin. They have three children Shea, Juliet, and Beau. Coach Whipple teaches Physical Education at Winstead Elementary School.
