Cormac Carolan

Before coming to Franklin in the fall of 2015, Carolan coached two state championship track teams in Georgia (2013 and 2015). While at FHS, his boys’ teams have won a state championship in the 4x800 along with a runner-up finish in 2021. Both boys’ and girls’ cross-country teams have won the region the last years (2019, 2020, and 2021). They also finished 2nd in the state in 2021 and have finished top 10 in the state the last 5 consecutive years.

Coach Carolan attended Lipscomb University where he ran for the university’s cross country and track team. While at Lipscomb, he received his bachelor’s degree in English Education. He continued his education earning a master’s in Kinesiology from Georgia Southern. Coach Carolan is married to Jaimie Carolan, who also ran at Lipscomb, and they have one son. He is still an avid runner himself and enjoys running with his athletes at practice and occasionally racing.
