In Division I Large Schools, the Brentwood girls finished third in the team standings, while the Franklin boys closed fourth.

Lady Bruin sophomore Eden Mittelsdorf broke free from three other runners over the final 800 meters to finish 11th and reach the podium in 19:16.01 to lead Brentwood. Sophomore Anna Banovac (19:49.21) added a top 25 finish, while freshman Sofia Rutherford (20:27.80) was 44th.

Sophomore Leigh Walters led Williamson County finishers by racing to third-place in the large schools classification. Walters finished in 18:25.01 and was quick to point out that it wasn't her best race. "I really didn't do my best today," she said. "I felt like I could have done better and just didn't feel my strongest. … it still feels good, though."

Two-time defending champion Sasha Neglia of Dobyns Bennett actually crossed the finish line before Science Hill freshman Jenna Hutchins (17:37.01), but was disqualified after she mistakenly cut to the inside of a tree rather than the outside with about 300 meters to go. The two were neck-and-neck and pulled away from the pack over the final couple kilometers, but the mistake gave Hutchins the large schools individual title.

Senior Max Zani led the Rebels with a ninth place finish in 16:09.28 on the boys' large school side. Junior Evan Guzman (16:50.09) was the next Franklin finisher, edging Preston Hanzely of Independence for 29th. Senior Jake Renfree of Knoxville Catholic finished in 15:25.58 to win the individual championship. Centennial senior Davis Bove (15:45.59) ran to a fourth-place finish.

Junior Jack Dellinger (17:01.84) was the top Ravenwood runner, closing in 35th, while senior Connor Duncan (17:11.19) paced Page in 45th out of 202 runners.
