Coach Shaw is a Franklin, TN native. She graduated Franklin High in 2014 and was a multi-sport athlete during her time as a student. She went on to play basketball at Maryville College. She returned to Franklin High in 2018, teaching Lifetime Wellness. 

Shaw was named head coach for the Admirals in 2022, after serving under Coach Jay Johnson as the assistant coach for the program for the last three years. Previously, Shaw served as an assistant coach for the Ravenwood High School girls' basketball program. From 2019 to 2022, she has also coached JV soccer and softball for Franklin. In 2021, she completed her Master’s in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State.
