Coach Burgoyne is a Franklin, TN native and is a 1995 graduate of Franklin High School.  He played freshman basketball, varsity football, and varsity soccer for Franklin High School. Burgoyne went on to play collegiate soccer at Tusculum University.

Burgoyne coached club soccer for TSC (formerly TNFC) from 2000-2014, serving as academy director from 2006-2008.  He has coached the Franklin High School men's soccer team since 2013 and the Lady Admirals since 2015.  The teams have 7 state tournament appearances and two state championships during his tenure.

Coach Burgoyne is a physical education teacher at Hunters Bend Elementary school (2002-Present). In 2008, he added his master’s degree in educational leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University. He is married to Hillary Burgoyne. They have three children:  Hattie, Theo, and Annie.
