Matt Gaca rushed for three touchdowns and Josh Nichols passed for two more as Franklin raced past Spring Hill on senior night Thursday.  The Rebels picked up a 44-6 win over the visiting Raiders and improved to 5-4 overall. Gaca, a senior, gained 138 yards on 26 rushing attempts and also added an 18-yard reception in the win. He scored on runs of 14, four and six yards.  Nichols completed 12-of-22 passes for 167 yards with two touchdowns thrown to Chancellor Bright and two interceptions.  Bright caught scoring strikes from 11 and 18 yards in the win and finished with five grabs for 62 yards. The Rebels out-gained Spring Hill 312-93 and forced four fumbles, recovering them all, including a DJ Durham recovery taken back for a touchdown in the final minutes.  The Rebels defense also added that three sacks with two coming from Khani Kelton. Christin Moolman added two tackles for loss, while Journey Keen added a sack.  Franklin closes the regular season with a Region 6-6A contest at Dickson County next week.
